i have a bit of a love/hate relationship with cake pops. i love how creative i can get with them, whether it be flavors, colors, decorations, or shapes. the problem is you can never make just one. they are made by the dozen and most of the time i am like "what the heck....if i am doing one might as well do three or four."
the hate part of the relationship comes when i am rolling and freezing and dipping that 40th or so cake pop. i don't hate the cake pops. i mean, how could you? they are an entire piece of cake so perfectly sized i can have it gone in one bite.....maybe two, depending how my jeans fit that day (splitting it into two makes me feel a little less pig-sh). i hate myself. but, oh well, go big or go home, right?
so, this week i got an order for two dozen of my chocolate dream cake pops. they are a yummy chocolate cake, mixed with a little chocolate frosting, dipped in chocolate coating and randomly decorated with what seems to strike my fancy that day. today it was....
along with the sprinkles i did some swirls and chocolate flowers....
when i am done dipping and decorating i stick them in a piece of styrofoam to let them dry. i then wrap them and package them up. they are now ready to be enjoyed!
oh wait! what's that....a mistake??? in my kitchen??? ggggrrrrr......what am i supposed to do now.....
guess i'll have to take one for the team :)
